Best laptop for AutoCAD and other CAD & 3D modeling software in 2024

best laptop for computer aided design

The laptop’s equipment includes a strong hexa-core Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of SSD storage. The graphics processor in the laptop, on the other hand, is what distinguishes it from the competition and makes the HP ZBook one of the best laptops for CAD. The laptop sports a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display with good color coverage and ample brightness for outdoor work. For faster file transfer and access, the laptop’s storage area is provided by a large 1 TB HDD and 128GB SSD. The laptop includes an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB DDR6 graphics coprocessor with 1536 CUDA cores. Furthermore, it can be configured with up to an Intel Core i9 processor, 64GB RAM, an 8TB SSD, and 8GB of the latest AMD Radeon Pro graphics card, but all of these options would cost you more than $6000.

How We Chose These Laptops for 3D modeling

On the other hand, it can run at a 120Hz refresh rate, so it’s still going to give you a smooth overall experience when viewing it, as will the 16GB of DDR5 RAM. Again, it is not the ideal of what we’d like to see, but it is more than enough to cover the recommended specs of most apps. Finally, it’s worth touching on the fact that the display is very good, a 17-inch display that runs WQXGA and gives you a relatively large amount of space to do your work, and we hope you can appreciate that. Even so, one disadvantage of the larger screen is that, combined with how thin it is, it can feel a bit flimsy, which isn’t ideal for something this pricey. So, if you do end up buying this one, don’t treat it like a rugged laptop, but be sure to be somewhat gentle with it.

Best Laptops For Architects And Designers

Its 16-inch OLED screen, excellent connectivity, and high color accuracy all make it worthy of the first position. The Dell XPS 17 touchscreen laptop has an impressive 17-inch screen for you to unleash your creativity. The laptop is laden with all the features an architect or designer requires to produce their best work- an Intel core i9 processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3600 graphics, and 32 GB of DDR5 memory. The Intel Core i H processor handles complex rendering and detailed CAD work efficiently, while the Intel Iris Xe Graphics ensures decent performance for architectural visualization. The 14-inch 2.2K display offers superior clarity for detailed design work, and with 16GB DDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD, multitasking and storage are smooth and ample. A dedicated graphics card (GPU) is crucial for CAD work as it accelerates rendering and provides smoother interaction.

Best Apple Laptop for Architects

So much thought and intricacy goes into the nitty-gritty details of any such production. All of this detailed and creative work requires the very best technology and tools available. Lastly, with up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM and expandable storage of up to 4TB, it’s the perfect machine for storing and handling large files.

While the HP Spectre x is a bulkier machine, those who want a more durable computer will probably be fine with the laptop's weight. It also has a great-feeling keyboard and trackpad setup, and the audio system sounds crystal clear. If we could change anything, it'd be the port placement — placing them on the corner of each side was a strange choice in our opinion, and it makes the device awkward to charge. But, that's easy to forget about once you start working with this genuinely great convertible.

Apple MacBook Pro (M

Whilst a newer 2023 version has been released, we think the 2022 version is the optimum pick. The laptop comes with a powerful Ryzen HS processor and you can pick between a Radeon RX 6700S or RX 6800S GPU – either of which should suffice for CAD usage, with the latter being the more powerful option. The newer 2023 model by comparison is an even more powerful device but loses battery quicker and is more expensive – probably not a worthwhile trade-off if you’re using it for this purpose. We have 2 ASUS laptops on this list, and the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is one the best ASUS laptop for CAD for many reasons. You get a solid AMD Ryzen HS processor, up to 40 GB of RAM, and 1 T SSD for storage. In fact, this thing has more power than most small-to-medium businesses’ laptops and it can definitely run CAD without issues.

Hence, you can get the advantages of a multi-monitor system without the hassles involved. Moreover, another great feature I’m sure you will appreciate is the Dolby Atmos 360-degree sound you will get with this laptop. On top of that, this is one of the lightest laptops you will ever use, so you can bank on the portability of this laptop. Compared to the Lenovo LOQ, the HP Victus offers an affordable entry point, though it may not match the Lenovo’s higher performance configurations.

However, SolidWorks offers a cloud-based alternative accessible to several devices through a web browser, although it’s advisable to contact them before setting it up for compatibility testing. In the world of computer-aided design (CAD), the need for powerful and portable machines is paramount. As design processes become increasingly complex, the convenience and flexibility offered by laptops for CAD programs are becoming more essential for professionals and students alike. Firstly, the mobility that laptops provide is crucial for CAD professionals who often need to work on-the-go or collaborate with others in various settings. This flexibility enhances productivity and allows for seamless integration into different environments.

Premium Laptops for Architects

Therefore, choosing a laptop with sufficient and fast storage is essential for CAD users. Additionally, the compact form factor of laptops makes them a space-saving alternative to traditional desktop workstations, especially for those with limited office space. Ultimately, the purchase of a high-quality laptop for CAD programs is a prudent choice for individuals seeking versatility, power, and mobility in their design workflows. Whether you're an amateur or a professional graphic designer, choosing the best laptop for your needs can be challenging. You can easily overspend on a model with features you never use or a device unsuitable for such tasks, like a laptop with a poor-quality display. While budget options aren’t ideal for heavy-duty 3D modeling, they’re a good option if you’re just starting out and don’t want to spend a ton of money.

By carefully assessing and comparing the features of various models, individuals can make an informed decision to invest in a laptop that maximizes their productivity and creativity within CAD applications. Whether it’s for 2D drafting or complex 3D modeling, choosing the best laptop for CAD programs can significantly enhance the user experience, efficiency, and output quality. In the mid-range price category, the Dell G5 15 offers a dedicated graphics card, large storage options, and a powerful processor, making it suitable for running CAD programs smoothly. For a higher budget, the HP ZBook Studio G7 is a top choice with its professional-grade graphics card and high-resolution display, making it ideal for intensive CAD work.

However, after giving it a go, I, and many other customers actually, experienced issues with the charging adapter. Lastly, with an extra M2 slot, you can always upgrade your laptop for up to 64 GB of memory. Giving it a try showed me that the intuitive Dial Pad allows for quick saturation and brush size changes, which allows for streamlining the workflow and not obstructing the creative process. You can actually customize these function settings in the ProArt creator hub.

Lenovo ThinkCentre M720 Tiny M720q employs Intel Core i5, while HP EliteDesk 800 G4 SFF offers the 8th Gen Intel i7 for advanced performance. 2018 Flagship Dell Inspiron 3668 incorporates no less decent processor, the 7th Gen Intel i5 with four cores. While it doesn't have a solid-state drive, it employs 16 GB of Intel Optane memory, which can considerably improve hard drive performance. However, if you are confident that your projects require using a workhorse, this is the most effective PC for the money.

SolidWorks programs such as DraftSight and eDrawings Viewer are compatible with macOs, allowing you to develop applications using a MacBook. You can also use virtualization software to run SolidWorks programs only compatible with Windows 10 or 11. We must also mention that it has a large, responsive trackpad and full keyboard for easy, natural navigation. You will enjoy a 15-inch 1080p LCD for an excellent viewing experience and extra accessories, including a surface pen, surface dock two, and surface precision mouse. Your laptop’s storage determines the number and quantity of files it can hold and its overall system responsiveness.

Provided you don’t mind their utilitarian appearance, the only real downside of these devices is their price, but you do actually get a good amount of features for the money. Some universities have gone as far as explicitly prohibiting the purchase of Macs for computer aided design. LG managed to squeeze in a Geforce RTX 3050 GPU with 4GB, a notable improvement on the RTX2050 found in the 2022 version, as well as a massive 90WHr battery, a unique feat in a laptop of that size. If you’re looking for the best laptops for CAD, then you need to consider a few things.

2023 Monsters of Rock Cruise Lineup: Tesla, Mac Sabbath, Queensrÿche, and More

monster of rock cruise

Frontman Gary Cherone is nonstop, from one side of the stage to the other, climbing amplifiers and even climbing up onto the next deck and roaming around up there while still singing. What is there to say that hasn’t already been said about guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, the guy is untouchable when it comes to riffs, shred and tone. Bassist Pat Badger has a groove and pocket that perfectly matches drummer Kevin Figueiredo.

Promoter On the Blue Cruises has announced the five-day/five-night full-ship music charter will set sail March 2-7, 2024 aboard Royal Caribbean's Independence Of The Seas and depart from the Port of Miami, Florida. The Monsters of Rock Cruise will be in its eleventh year, setting sail on April 29 aboard the Royal Caribbean's Mariner of the Seas, departing out of Port Canaveral, Florida. The voyage will include two days at sea filled with musical performances along with stops at two ports - Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic and the Private Isle of Labadee - before returning to Florida to complete the cruise on May 4. Along with all the performances, the Monsters of Rock Cruise will feature Q&A sessions with artists, Gong Show-style karaoke, a “So You Think You Can Shred” contest, cooking with rock stars, painting with rock stars, pick-up basketball with rockstars, beach volleyball, and more. There will a variety of theme nights as well, plus opportunities to take photos and eat meals with select artists. After a few tunes at Rare Hare, I headed to the Theater for one of my favorite bands.

KK’s Priest – 12:30 P M Studio B

Spread Eagle is performing during the “brunch shift,” as singer Ray West called it since they went on at noon. With such a big stage at their disposal, the band took advantage – moving around, standing on the side subwoofers, getting right up front and interacting with the crowd. The two founding members, bassist Rob De Luca and vocalist Ray West, have an incredible musical chemistry that is so evident in their live performances. Not only that, but those two also mesh with drummer Rik De Luca and guitarist Jommy Puledda seamlessly – making for a powerhouse of a band. Another classic rock icon took on Studio B after KK’s Priest, legendary KISS guitarist Ace Frehley.

Just after 7 PM, Slaughter took on the Theater stage for their first show on this Monsters of Rock Cruise. Presently, the group features original members Mark Slaughter on vocals and Dana Strum on bass, as well as longtime guitarist Jeff Blando, and behind the kit, they’ve got one of the best modern rock drummers as far as I’m concerned, Jordan Cannata. On a stage completely filled with smoke, these Las Vegas rock n’ rollers perform all their classic tunes, some from each of their first two records, as well as Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song.” After more than 30 years, Slaughter are still stickin’ it to ya out on the road and evidently out on the high seas as well. Back in the day, Extreme created a never before seen musical style – combining hair metal with funk – and to this day they are still innovating, especially with their 2023 album. The deck is absolutely packed, ready to see the high-energy show the group is known for – and of course, this set was no different.

‘Quiet on Set’ Survivors Say They Wouldn’t Have Agreed to Docuseries If They Knew It Was for the ID Network

Somewhere in the middle of the Caribbean… not so long ago… it’s day 4 of the Monsters Of Rock Cruise. If you’ve been following my coverage of the best rock n’ roll experience on the high seas, you’ve seen what a fantastic time it’s been… but it’s not over yet. The cruise is set to take place February 9th through 14th, 2022, and feature performances from over 35 artists including Skid Row, Lit, L.A. Guns, Kix, Winger, Michael Monroe, Great White, H.E.A.T., Loudness, Pat Travers, Vixen, Faster Pussycat, and more. The cruise will set sail from Miami, Florida, and stop at two ports, CocoCay in the Bahamas and Labadee in Haiti. A leader in cruise charter innovation, Monsters of Rock Cruise (MORC) has sailed over 30,000 passengers in the last ten years.

Phish Turn The Sphere Into Psychedelic Wonder at Residency Kickoff: Photos + Setlist

The band started quite late, to no fault of their own – as singer Justin Hawkins would make abundantly clear. Hawkins made quite a few playful jabs at Ace Frehley for supposedly being late, calling him a cunt several times and the audience cheering in agreement. The two would go on to take a photo and make a post together, squashing the beef that had arisen.

Next up is the Private Isle of Labadee, the ultimate private destination for cruisers, offering adventure, exploration and relaxation amongst its many bars and pristine waters. Vacationers can amp up the adrenaline on the Dragon’s Tail Coaster, a thrilling 30-mile-per-hour ride with incredible views of the island. For more action, adventurous passengers may choose to strap on a helmet and harness and soar 500-feet down on the Dragon’s Breath Flight Line, the world’s longest zip line over water.

Coming off the heels of a new studio album release, Frehley is performing on the Monsters of Rock Cruise. His band is made up of incredibly talented musicians, guitarist Jeremy Asbrock, bassist Ryan Cook and drummer Scot Coogan. With a classic Ace combo; a Les Paul and big ‘ol sunglasses, this guitar hero takes on a bunch of popular KISS songs, as well as some solo tunes. Another of Sweden’s finest melodic rock bands aboard the MORC this year, H.E.A.T. performed their second set of the week on the Pool Stage mid-afternoon. This band really brought an ‘80s festival vibe with this set, including their signature synth sound, high energy performance, hair blowing in the wind under a sunny blue sky, retro-style clothes, etc. Vocalist Kenny Leckremo took it upon himself to climb up the rafters, reaching nearly the top of the stage, and singing to the crowd from above.

Playing tunes mainly from their first album, as well as a select few songs from later albums, it’s clear that straight up southern sleaze rock is running through the veins of these 5 musicians. Another special guest performance this MORC took place during this set, with Hardcore Superstar’s Jocke Berg singing the Toys’ biggest hit, Scared, with the band. An unlikely pairing and surely something that has never and will never been seen elsewhere. The cruise is set to depart from Miami on March 2nd and will sail to ports of call in Jamaica and the Bahamas before returning to Miami on March 7th.

After being so blown away by their first set on the boat, I had to make sure I made it for their second round. I sat on the stage left side of the theater with my bandmates and our friends in Spread Eagle, all appreciating the sheer talent and artistry on the stage before us. The Darkness gave another impeccable performance, but it would prove to be a controversial one.

Deck Plans, Activities & Sailings

carvial cruise

All vessels operate on a "cashless system," with any onboard purchases you make posting automatically to your onboard account. You'll receive a Sail & Sign card that you can use to make charges. Carnival adds an automatic service gratuity of $16 to $18 per person, per day to final bills, depending on the cabin category (children under the age of 2 are exempt). If you are unhappy with the service you receive, you can adjust this amount at the Guest Services desk before disembarking.

I look at the ports of call, the space-to-guest ratio, the amenities and onboard activities, and the launch point. If your group likes to sail a little closer to the waves — or just in a calm location at the aft of the ship — choose a Family Harbor Cove Balcony stateroom. You’ll find your outpost a wave-watcher’s paradise… and while we can’t promise, you just might catch a living, swimming marine biology lesson from your railing! This stateroom features a unique nautical décor inspired by the craft of seafaring itself. The whole family will also enjoy exclusive access to the nearby Family Harbor Lounge, plus more great perks around the ship. A Cloud 9 Spa Suite is the ultimate in both stateroom and spa accommodations.

Family Harbor Ocean View

Carnival Splendor sails the Southern Hemisphere around Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific on cruises that range from two to 10 days. The ship has Carnival’s only quick-service Indian restaurant and boasts a pool with a retractable roof, so you can swim without worrying about the weather. Carnival Horizon has all the makings of a fun family vacation. The kids clubs have dedicated counselors who ensure children are always having fun, and parents can slip away to an adults-only bar for a cocktail or the Serenity Adult-Only Retreat to catch some sun. Then, as night falls, you can come back together for a special meal in the main dining room or JiJi Asian Kitchen, which specializes in regional Asian cuisine. We're not just viewing this ship with rose-colored lenses, either — it's clear that the fun, eye-catching experiences all around you are the real deal...

THE ULTIMATE PLAYGROUND

At 101,000 GT , it became the largest passenger ship in the world at the time and first to exceed 100,000 tons. The Destiny-class platform continued to be used in various iterations all the way to the Carnival Splendor in 2008. The same year the veteran ship Festivale, the last of the original second-hand fleet, was retired.

Costa Maya

Also, an 18% gratuity is added to bar bills and the cover charge of the Chef's Table. Older kids (aged 15-17) are grouped into what's known as Club O2 and have their own lounge for meeting up, listening to music, dancing, singing karaoke and other activities. While the free programming ends at 10 p.m., you can pay extra to leave your kids at Camp Ocean until 1 a.m. During those hours, Camp Ocean transforms into a supervised slumber party-type environment with games, movies, crafts and snacks, along with late-night parties called Night Owls. Carnival claims to draw more children than any other cruise line. So perhaps it makes sense that it has one of the most extensive children's programs at sea.

Carnival Dream

For an extended cruise from Tampa, Florida, or Baltimore, Maryland, look to Carnival Pride. The ship has something for every type of traveler, including three kids clubs, adult-only spaces, and over a dozen different dining options. Carnival Valor is almost 20 years old and still showing cruisers a good time. The ship's home ports are New Orleans, Louisiana, and Barcelona, Spain, and it offers two to over 10-night sailings.

We've built a lot of ships over the years, but for a truly unique experience at sea, you've gotta see Carnival Vista. Carnival Vista has a whole new relationship to the sea, and you get to experience this as you explore the Caribbean with all-new views. Since your huge Suite on Carnival Jubilee™ affords you VIP status, you're in the priority line when getting on and off the ship… plus Suites come with exclusive perks! Since your huge Suite on Carnival Celebration® affords you VIP status, you're in the priority line when getting on and off the ship… plus Suites come with exclusive perks!

Carnival Cruise Line Cracks Down on Unauthorized Activity - Cruise Hive

Carnival Cruise Line Cracks Down on Unauthorized Activity.

Posted: Thu, 18 Apr 2024 16:22:47 GMT [source]

Carnival has just begun operating its first truly giant ships in years, the 181,808-ton, 5,282-passenger Mardi Gras and the 183,521-ton, 5,374-passenger Carnival Celebration. However, the line's next-biggest vessel, the 4,090-passenger Carnival Venezia, measures just 135,225 tons. That's about 40% smaller than the biggest ships operated by Royal Caribbean.

: First new build ships

At Summer Landing, fun this cool is literally always in season. This is the best room you can get… without bunking up with the guy himself. A Captain’s Suite aboard Carnival Glory features tons of indoor space, and a huge balcony when you need a little more. Back inside you’ll find a king-size bed, two full bathrooms (one with whirlpool tub), plus a separate living room that sleeps another three.

carvial cruise

Every Carnival ship has one big theater where you'll often find flashy, fast-paced production shows that string together a medley of loosely related tunes. Designed to be quick and digestible, they typically last around 30 minutes and have relatively small casts (just eight on some ships). Every vessel has two main dining rooms and a casual buffet eatery where meals are included in the fare. For dinner in the main dining room, you must sign up for either Your Time dining (you go whenever you want) or Traditional Dining (you have a fixed table and time for dinner). Carnival draws a lively, outgoing crowd looking to be part of the action. Carnival trips are all about letting loose and having a good time.

Carnival Sunshine (formerly Carnival Destiny) is 10 years old and a fan favorite. The lower guest capacity, at just over 3,000 for double occupancy, means you won’t have to fight hoards of people to get to and from activities. Families who want even more cabin space should book one of the aft-view extended balcony rooms with great wake views and ample private outdoor space.

The ship brims with fun amenities like the WaterWorks splash zone and the relaxing Cloud 9 Spa. Carnival Conquest takes cruisers to the Bahamas and the Caribbean on two to 10-day sailings. Special programs allow kids to see their favorite Dr. Seuss characters at sea, and adults can enjoy the enticing Alchemy Bar for one-of-a-kind cocktails. Carnival Breeze is ideal for a short cruise out of Galveston, Texas.

Haute cuisine meets atmosphere at Fahrenheit 555™, a dining experience that stands toe-to-toe with some of the best steakhouses on land. Ours features your choice of steak cuts, lobster, lamb and more… and inside, there’s even a full bar that pours great pairings. These are the building blocks of an amazing experience — delectable elements that combine with great service to offer an evening to remember. Extended Balcony staterooms feature a larger balcony with more outdoor lounge-around room, more open-air kick-back space… and back inside the room itself, all the comfort you expect with a great view and plenty of sunlight. The ship debuted the restaurant Cucina del Capitano, which is now onboard multiple ships in the fleet. I sailed the Carnival Magic years ago, but I vividly remember spending an entire day enjoying the amenities at the Cloud 9 Spa and eating at the Mongolian Wok quick-service restaurant almost every afternoon for lunch.

In short, there's a ton to do up top on Carnival vessels — and it's almost all available to every passenger on board the vessels at no extra charge (the roller coaster is the only exception). Carnival Panorama also houses Carnival's first cooking classroom. Dubbed Carnival Kitchen, it's located near the ship's main restaurants and is a seriously tricked-out venue complete with nine state-of-the-art, marbled granite cooking stations for two and a dedicated dining area. On one of Carnival's newest ships, Carnival Panorama, there's no RedFrog Pub, but the Smokehouse Brewhouse has a stage that's home to live music nightly and some of the ship's karaoke sessions.

Oceania Cruises Official Site: Cruises Around The World

oceania cruise log in

Many of its ships have capacity for 684 passengers, which means they can feel less crowded than larger ships. For those looking for a weeklong cruise in the Caribbean, a trip departing from Miami and stopping in Mexico, Belize and Honduras starts at $1,399 per person. If you’re interested in Europe, a 10-day trip from Rome to Barcelona starts at $2,470 per person. Oceania Cruises, part of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, launched in 2002. It focuses on travelers who want more privacy and personalized service when they sail. Oceania sits between its two sibling lines — the higher-end Regent Seven Seas and family-friendly Norwegian — when it comes to ship size and prices.

Travel

We’ve all seen the pictures of icebergs and peaks reflected in glassy bays and sunset-pink skies. You may not see the sun for an entire week, which could impact activities, views and wildlife sightings. Antarctica is an unforgettable destination, but time on the continent is precious and expensive. Oceania's Grand Voyages include ports across Europe (Southern and Northern), all with extended evening and overnight port stays.

Tourism was in its infancy and, with the exception of one William Wordsworth, barely anyone was speaking out against its potential ill effects. But 150 years later, we now know that Ruskin’s appraisal of mass tourism was on the nose. The chateaux of the Loire will always be a draw, and while this cruise has an all-day excursion to discover them, Nantes is a jewel in its own right. The castle of the Dukes of Brittany, giant mechanical elephants — yes really — and taking coffee in La Cigale,  the wonderful 19th century Belle Epoch Brasserie, are essential sites to tick off. Perched on the banks of the Saône, Mâcon has a café-lined promenade, while an overnight stay in Lyon lets you enjoy the city’s best restaurants and watering holes. At Avignon, you can explore the Palais des Papes as well as the huge indoor market to pick up Provençal snacks.

Itinerary of Oceania Cruises

House Select beverage package is included for guests 1 and 2 with the simply MORE offer. Oceania's 2025 summer program consists of 100+ different itineraries and encompasses 70 voyages in Europe (Mediterranean and Baltc) planned for 3 ships (Marina, Vista, and Allura) as well as ~50 Grand Voyages. In April 2018, Oceania Cruises introduced the Wavenet (high-speed internet) fleetwide / on all ships. The service allows faster uploading/downloading of big files, watching Netflix movies, social media sharing, music, and video live streaming (Spotify Facetime, Skype). These are not a good pick for families, particularly those sailing with infants and toddlers. There are no dedicated kids' facilities available onboard, and parents are completely responsible for children's behavior and entertainment.

On June 15, 2003, the company restarted services with 2 vessels - Insignia (renamed Regatta) and a new vessel (R One, sistership of Regatta, also chartered from Cruiseinvest) that debuted as the current Insignia. The primary purpose of the program is earning credits to reach different elite status tiers. At each level, there are various benefits you receive when on a cruise. Oceania has eight ships in a range of sizes; the smallest accommodates just under 700 passengers, while the largest can hold up to 1,250. The cruise line has a low staff-to-passenger ratio, between 1.5 and 1.7 staff per passenger, which allows for more personalized service.

CardMatch

Travelers could spend a good afternoon wandering hallways and public spaces, akin to visiting a museum. A new app for the line also offers a digital art tour, like a personal guide. In 2025, the Riviera ship makes a debut in Alaska, offering 7 to 12 days itineraries. In July and August, Oceania has day sailings to Iceland and Greenland, followed by day voyages departing from NYC, Boston, and Montreal, with overnights in Montreal, Quebec, and NYC.

Small, Luxurious Ships

As for amenities, it is included in the ticket prices for all staterooms (suite and cabin categories) and on all itineraries. As supervision company for the project was contracted Studio DADO Inc (Miami-based designer firm). Other contractors include Baker and Donghia (furnishings), and Rubelli and Kravet (fabrics, custom-made carpets).

The new water bottles will be available on each ship since April 2, 2019 (Riviera), April 19, 2019 (Marina), May 1, 2019 (Regatta), May 19, 2019 (Sirena), May 30, 2019 (Nautica), and June 19, 2019 (Insignia). The recently-introduced new base fare, “simply MORE,” also includes round-trip flights, airport transfers and a beverage package for all guests in the cabin. There’s no need to worry about paying an additional fee to stay connected aboard an Oceania cruise ship, as it’s included in the cruise fare.

Card Issuer

In September 2018, as part of OceaniaNEXT program, the company's website was redesigned and upgraded. Now customers (travel agents and cruise passengers) can use shipboard credits before departure. OBC can be used for purchasing tours/excursions and shipboard activities and amenities (culinary classes, drink packages, specialty dining at the Privee and La Reserve). In September 2018, Oceania partnered with Luggage Forward (USA-based luggage shipping company). The new service allows passengers to ship their luggage doorstep-to-stateroom (and back home again), thus truly traveling light. Luggage Forward provides premier door-to-door shipping services to 200 countries worldwide (including over 150 cruise ports).

Even a three-week cruise earns just one credit, which means it can take some time to reach the first elite tier — Bronze, which requires five credits. Even though they’re part of the same holding company, you won’t earn Oceania credits when sailing with Norwegian or Regent Seven Seas. Oceania Club members earn credits on each cruise they take, with more points awarded for longer cruises. For example, a cruise that lasts up to 24 days earns one credit, cruises for days receive two credits, and trips longer than 158 days get 15 credits.

Depending on how long you want to sail and where you’re going, you can find itineraries as short as seven days and longs as a whopping 200 days. My husband and I are booked on an Oceania cruise with some perks included. We have a copy of the itinerary from our TA, but I wanted to check on the Oceania website to compare what our TA has on record with what the cruise line has on record.

All Oceania-operated ships are currently Marshall Islands-flagged and registered in Majuro. On November 25, 2014, NCLH revealed an agreement with Princess Cruises to purchase Ocean Princess (now Sirena) for Oceania, upon delivery in March 2016. The ship underwent a 35-day drydock refit (US$40 million) in Marseille France and was renamed "MS Sirena". At the end of 2005, a third (ex-Renaissance) vessel entered Oceania's fleet when from CruiseInvest was chartered R-Five (renamed Nautica). At the naming ceremony, Frank del Rio announced a plan to add a fourth boat (Marina) in July 2007. This may influence which products we review and write about (and where those products appear on the site), but it in no way affects our recommendations or advice, which are grounded in thousands of hours of research.

Featuring a wide array of voyages, these exclusive offers are the best way to take advantage of bonus savings, extra amenities and lower cruise fares. Book early for the best availability and check back often for new deals, all-inclusive cruise vacation packages and more. The new Allura ship's inaugural cruise program was announced in September 2023. For the inaugural season (2025) Allura is deployed in Europe/Mediterranean. Allura's schedule (opened for booking on September 13, 2023) listed a total of 26 voyages (7- to 43-day long itineraries) visiting a total of 92 different ports/destinations. Oceania Cruises ships' smaller size gives them access to ports that larger ships can’t visit.

Some examples of this on the Vista include four new dining venues, concierge-level staterooms for solo travelers and larger standard staterooms with over 290 square feet of space. Oceania is known for some of the longest cruises in the industry, including regular 180-day-plus world sailings that span the globe. Sign up for one of those, and the 15 credits you receive will put you 75% of the way toward Platinum status. Once you hit the Gold tier, you'll get all that plus an additional $150 in shipboard credit and two complimentary Custom Air Fee Waivers — a $398 value.

The Cathedral Saint-Etienne in Sens was one of the first gothic cathedrals to be built in France, while Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne lets you visit the grandeur and magnificence of Fontainebleau. Barbizon has a fascinating eponymous art museum and the studios of Rousseau and Millet, who lived and worked here. Similarly, part of the central square in Libourne is surrounded by the traditional arcades and is especially lively on market days.

The company offers a number of departures from PortMiami in 2019, including the “Timeless Cuba” itinerary, sailing 7 days with visits to Havana, Santiago de Cuba, and Cienfuegos. Oceania Cruises ship itineraries visit 300+ ports in Europe, the Americas, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The company's cruise vessels stand apart from other midsized liners with low (1-to-2) crew-to-passenger ratios and unique voyages. Oceania is best for travelers who want to go beyond the most commonly visited ports and foodies who prioritize onboard dining.

Be sure to let them know at check-in that you wish to use their free shuttle service to reserve your seat. For the sake of convenience, many cruise lines will offer transfers for their passengers from the Tampa airport. Although this is a great service, it can get expensive if you’re traveling with a lot of people. Also, your shuttle is only going to be available on cruise day, so if you fly in the day before you’ll have to seek alternate means of transportation.
